ABout Izzy Ment
raised by a Cuban-American mother and a German father, based in Berlin, Izzy is a versatile performer on synthesizers, guitar, bass, and vocals. After studies in veterinary medicine at Freie Universität Berlin and music education at Universität der Künste, Izzy began writing and producing their debut EP As The Words Come Through (Unicorn, 2018), recorded at the legendary Sear Sound Studios in New York City by Grammy-winning engineer Jeremy Loucas, featuring Nate Werth (Snarky Puppy) on percussion.

Izzy has toured extensively throughout Europe, both as an instrumentalist for for artists such as Roller Derby, Alli Neumann, Die Heiterkeit, as well as supporting international acts with their solo project, including Rostam (Vampire Weekend).They are currently working as a session musician as well as performing in theater productions such as Maxim Gorki Theater and Hebbel am Ufer Theater in Berlin.
Their first single and accompanying music video mark the latest chapter in a body of work dedicated to envisioning a queerer future.
